Background This
unique ability to connect with her students is drawn from a blend of rich life experiences and a life devoted to self-study and awareness. An
outstanding communicator, Dana Paré's skills come from a background in the performing arts and 10 years in the fitness industry, living and teaching in
Asia and Europe. She speaks Japanese and is inspired by Japan's attention to detail - which is reflected in her classes.
Along with teaching
dynamic and inspiring Ashtanga Yoga classes for over 14 years, Dana Paré's experience also includes: teaching intensive workshops for teachers and
students nationwide; presenting at yoga and fitness conferences; holding charity events; and her own specialty yoga weeks at such renowned spas as
The Golden Door, Rancho la Puerta and The Oaks.
Dana has created, produced and directed a series of CD's & DVDs for
home study, where she has been involved in every aspect of the project from concept to post production.
An outstanding entrepreneur, Dana has
built a highly successful yoga retreat business which she began in 2001. She has held in-depth yoga and exploration retreats in Thailand, Hawaii,
Mexico and the mountains of California.

Teachers In
addition to the lessons life and her personal practice has taught her, Dana Paré honors the teachers that have most influenced and inspired her own personal teaching style:
Sri K Pattabhi Jois, who revived the Ashtanga Vinyasa system for the modern world, and his grandson R Sharath. She has studied with
both in India and the US; Kausthub Desikachar (Viniyoga), Tim Miller (Ashtanga), Roger Cole (Iyengar) and her mentor and friend
Ana Forrest
(Forrest Yoga). Dana participated in Ana's first teacher training and has completed teacher training with both Roger & Tim as well as being part of Tim Miller's teaching staff before opening her own studio.
Dana Paré is a Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance at their highest level - 500 hours.
